Privacy policy

GunMaster is designed to work primarily offline and to keep your data on your device.

1. Who we are

For the limited personal data described below, we are the data controller.

2. Data saved in GunMaster stays on your device

Information you enter into GunMaster — including information about firearms, ammunition, accessories and events, along with notes, photos and statistics — is stored locally on your device.

We do not receive this data, do not transmit it to our servers and do not keep a copy of it.

GunMaster requires no account and offers no cloud synchronization of your collection.

You can view, edit and delete your data directly in the app.

Backups are created locally at your request. We do not receive backup files or the passwords used to encrypt them.

If you use the app-lock PIN, the data needed to verify it also stays on your device.

GunMaster contains no analytics system, no crash reporting service, no advertising identifiers and no advertising.

3. Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are purchased through Google Play.

We use the RevenueCat service to determine whether a user has active Premium access.

In connection with handling subscriptions, RevenueCat may process limited data, including:

  • a random app user identifier;
  • subscription and purchase status;
  • purchase history and transaction information;
  • Google Play purchase information;
  • limited technical information required to provide the subscription service.

RevenueCat does not receive information about your collection, firearms, ammunition, accessories, shooting sessions, notes, photos or other data stored locally in GunMaster.

We use subscription-related data to provide, restore and verify Premium access.

Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis for this processing is primarily Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — processing necessary for the performance of a contract or to take steps connected with providing Premium features.

RevenueCat processes GunMaster users' data on our behalf, as a processor.

Google Play independently processes account, payment and purchase data in accordance with its own privacy terms.

RevenueCat may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where transfers of data subject to the GDPR take place outside the EEA, the safeguards required by applicable law are used, including, where relevant, the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

4. Camera and photos

If you allow GunMaster to access your camera or photo library, this access is used only to add images to your local GunMaster records.

These images are stored on your device and are not uploaded to us or RevenueCat.

5. Contact and support

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and any information you include in your message.

We use this information only to respond to your request, provide support or handle a complaint.

We keep correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary for that purpose or as required by law.

Subscription-related data is kept for as long as is necessary to provide and verify Premium access, and for as long as is required to meet legal obligations or to defend against claims.

6. Your data and your rights

Data about your collection is stored only on your device. You can view, edit and delete it directly in the app.

Because we do not receive or store a copy of this data, we cannot access, modify, recover or delete it for you.

For subscription-related data we do not know who you are — RevenueCat identifies GunMaster users by random identifiers. We do not obtain additional information for the sole purpose of identifying a user.

If you want to exercise your rights in relation to data processed in connection with a subscription, we may ask you for information that lets us locate the right record, for example your RevenueCat user identifier.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych).

7. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy if GunMaster, the services used by the app or applicable legal requirements change.

We do not keep accounts, and we hold no contact details for users that would let us notify anyone of a change individually. The current version of this policy and its effective date are always available on this page. A link to this page is also available in the app.
